The Embryology and PGD Academy has been established by Professor Joyce Harper and Alpesh Doshi who have been leaders in the field of education of IVF and PGD for over 20 years. Our aim is to educate and give hands on training in the laboratory aspects of clinical embryology and preimplantation genetic diagnosis, in the UK and internationally. The team have been organizing hands on PGD workshops since 1996, initially at the Hammersmith Hospital and then at University College London, as part of UCL Centre for PGD. The UK workshops are awarded continued professional development points from the Royal College of Pathologists. In 2017 we will be starting our certificate in clinical embryology, an advanced course for embryologists currently working in an IVF clinic. This is an exciting programme delivered by distance learning with talks given by the global educators in IVF.
